Before you collect
What you'll need
- Full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years, driver aged 23 or over
- DVLA licence check code (we'll show you how to get one)
- Proof of address dated within the last 3 months
- Security deposit by card, refunded when the van comes back as it went out
- Fully comprehensive insurance on the vehicle before collection. We'll send the details you need to give your insurer
FAQs
Common questions
Is insurance included?
No. You arrange your own fully comprehensive cover for the van. Most trade policies will add a hired vehicle for the period at little or no cost. We'll give you the registration, value and our details for the certificate.
Can I drive a 3.5 tonne van on a car licence?
Yes. Everything on this page is 3.5 tonnes gross or under, so a standard category B car licence covers it.
What about mileage?
Daily hire includes 150 miles a day. Weekly and monthly hire is unlimited. Excess miles are charged at 15p per mile plus VAT.
Do you do long-term hire?
Yes. Monthly rates run on a rolling 28-day basis with no minimum term beyond the first month. For 6 months or more, ask about our flexi lease rates.
Can I charge an electric van at home?
Yes, from a standard socket overnight or faster with a wallbox. We install home and workplace chargers too, so if you're thinking about going electric for the business, ask.
